Fate dealt us a home, with walls sepia hued,
We can’t dream big, we were told,
Us, the downtrodden, had to lie low,
We shut our ears to societal murmurs,
Listened to our ‘inner voice’, that spoke without a lisp,
You have ‘one life’, have every right to colour it bright,
Reach for the stars, if you must,
Breaking barriers with grit and determination,
Your journey has just begun,
Ride high, soaring above the clouds,
For the sky is the limit.
