No, I do not conform to a pattern,
Rebel I will, for a decent turn,
Dare not typecast me, my passion lies elsewhere,
Box me in, without a care,
Ladles and pans are not for me,
Pray, not your stereotypical woman, you see,
Cooking my way into my man’s heart, no way,
Rather impress him with my learning, any day,
Compass and scales, research is my calling,
Madame Marie Curie has set the ball rolling.

Such an apt one Usha. Sadly we have such stereotype conditioning based on gender. It’s time we break that mould.

We are judged by conditioning. Hope we can break out of it. Support has to be whole hearted, not just appeasing words.

Indeed, Usha! Gender stereotyping has gone on for too long. Wonderful take.
