She looked askance, Her grey eyes stealing a glance, Strange surroundings, strangercreatures, Reflections image similar features, Otherwise apart, I on my fours, My language, howls from wild shores, Where are you my kith and kin? Feeling caged, not in my skin, Rescued I am.....from freedom? Feeling stifled under their thumb, Tamed, transformed, a lady for the world to see, Strangled and suffocated I will be, Agony to ecstasy an irony, In reality ecstasy to agony.
I see her as a woman raised by wolves, in the jungle. She is rescued by a forest officer, while on his vigil to deter poaching. I imagine, she was found cowering in a cave, wrapped in deer skin.
My pleasure. The picture prompt such, imaginations take flight. I suppose, it’s a consequence of constantly viewing The Jungle Book and Mougli, with my grand daughter.
Very nice poem Usha ! 👍Ecstasy to agony both extreme level of feelings 👍🤝

This picture somehow reminded me of Mougli too. I enjoyed your descriptions, Ma’am. 🙂 The last two lines are superb.
